Egypt-Pakistan trade exchange reaches $400m

Trade exchange between Egypt and Pakistan has reached so far $400m, with Egypt’s exports being valued at $300m, during fiscal year 2021/22, according to Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt Sajid Bilal.

“We have a very good volume of trade, especially from the Egyptian point of view, because Egypt is exporting natural gas to Pakistan,” Bilal noted.

He also announced that Pakistan is going to host an investment exhibition by the end of the current month and expects that Egyptian business investors will participate in the exhibition and the meetings held on its sidelines to capitalise on the investment opportunities in the country.

Bilal concluded by stressing that there are a lot of activities and areas of cooperation between Egypt and Pakistan in trade and investment, assuring that there are a lot of mechanisms and exchanges that are taking place between the two countries.
