Egypt has expressed its condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the attacks that targeted the southern city of Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia.

The Houthi militia in Yemen launched ballistic missiles, on Saturday, against Saudi targets, which the joint forces of the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen were able to successfully intercept.

Egypt affirmed its standing by Saudi Arabia in the face of these despicable hostilities, and the close link between the national security of the two brotherly countries.

Egypt also expressed its support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve its security, stability and territorial integrity in the face of these terrorist attacks, which represent a serious threat to security and stability in the region.

“Houthi militias’ attempts to target civilians and residential areas are barbaric and futile,” Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Coalition as saying on Twitter.

The Coalition said it takes all necessary operational measures to deal with the sources of threats to protect civilians and the residential areas from the hostile assaults, in line with international humanitarian law and its norms, according to the agency.
