Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, issued a decision to form the Board of Trustees of the Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), headed by former President Adly Mansour.

In addition to the university’s Board of Trustees, a representative of the government is chosen by the minister of higher education, and the president of the university is a member of this council.

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi issued a decision last week to establish the EUI, a private university based in Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.

EUI is the first university in Africa and the Middle East specialized in communications and information technology and related fields.

EUI includes four faculties: Computer and Information Sciences; Engineering; Business Technology; and Digital Arts and Design. The academic year is scheduled to start next October.
