The Egyptian Information, Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance (Eitesal) will organise its first networking meeting for Egyptian companies.

The event will include companies from Latvia and a number of African countries who have been targeted for joint cooperation, and will take place virtually from 21-22 June.

This comes as part of Eitesal’s strategic role to develop businesses and open new markets for communication and information and communication technology (ICT) companies operating in the Egyptian market and worldwide.

The meeting is the first networking event between Egypt’s ICT sector and African and European companies, with members of the Egyptian Businessmen Association (EBA) also set to be present.

Through the meeting, each company will be able to present its products and services through the networking platform. This aims to allow companies from other sectors to learn about the products and services available.

Mohamed Shedeed, Managing Director at Eitesal, said that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has imposed a new reality on the business community in various ways.

He noted that Egyptian companies have a long history of accumulated experiences that can be benefited from. Through this event, Eitesal aims to facilitate investment opportunities in various sectors, and strengthen relations between Egypt and other African countries in the ICT sector.

Shedeed added that the European market is promising for local companies. He also noted that Egyptian investments in Latvia will give businessmen in both countries a strong opportunity to establish joint projects in various commercial and industrial sectors.

Egypt has strong relations with EU countries, which confirms the depth of relations and eliminates challenges that may hinder cooperation between countries in various fields, whether industry, agriculture, health, education or others. This will allow local companies to market their products in many target markets.
