Egypt’s Tahya Misr Fund convoy passes Rafah crossing en route to Gaza

Egypt’s Tahya Misr Fund convoy arrived, on Sunday, at its last stop at the Rafah crossing, in preparation to cross into to the Gaza Strip to deliver Egyptian aid to the Palestinians.

According to a statement from the fund, the aid is part of the “directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to support the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip”.

The Tahya Misr Fund prepared the convoy with contributions and donations made by Egyptian companies operating in various commercial and industrial fields. 

This has come as part of the Egyptian Initiative for Support and Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which was launched by President Al-Sisi a few days ago.

The convoy includes 130 containers loaded with more than 3,000 tonnes of dry foodstuffs, vegetables, poultry, and fruits, in addition to mattresses, carpets, blankets, disinfectants, medicine, and clothes. 

The fund encourage all parties to societal work to exert further efforts to achieve significant charitable donations and solidarity work in various countries around the world.

The Tahya Misr Fund has dedicated Account No 037037 – Reconstruction of Gaza at all Egyptian banks, to receive contributions and donations in local and foreign currencies.
