Egypt, Oman discuss ways to enhance scientific cooperation

Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Oman’s Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, on Tuesday, to discuss ways to enhance scientific cooperation between the two countries.

The focus of the discussions was on the fields of higher education and scientific research, with Abdel Ghaffar asserting Egypt’s keenness to activate and increase ways of cooperation with Oman in various fields.

The minister also confirmed that Egypt provides all aspects of support to Omani students at Egyptian universities, in order to overcome all obstacles that they may face during their studies in the country. 

He expressed his ministry’s keenness to provide the best environment for expatriate students studying in Egyptian universities.

Abdel Ghaffar indicated that Egypt seeks to attract foreign students to study in the country under the “Study in Egypt” initiative, inviting the Omani Ministry of Higher Education to form a delegation to visit Egyptian universities and exchange experiences between the two sides.

Meanwhile, Al-Rahbi lauded the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to support Omani students studying in Egypt. He also highlighted his country’s keenness to increase cooperation with Egypt. 

The Ambassador invited Abdel Ghaffar to visit Oman and organise an exhibition for the “Study in Egypt” initiative, to promote the initiative in Oman and attract students wishing to study in Egypt.
