Orange Egypt, Ahl Masr provide quarantine hospitals with Covid-19 preventive supplies

Orange Egypt has participated in Ahl Masr Foundation’s campaign to provide Covid-19 quarantine hospitals with the necessary medical supplies.

It comes as part of Orange Foundation’s social responsibility activities. The international group has allocated exceptional funds to support Egypt’s different entities’ fight against Covid-19. Orange has supported the rehabilitation of Ahl Masr’s headquarters to serve as a quarantine hospital in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

Under this partnership, Orange has also distributed preventative supplies by its fleet of vans to different public and university hospitals across the country. The beneficiaries include Qasr El-Eyni Hospital, El-Demerdash Hospital, Imbaba Fever Hospital, Helwan General Hospital, Menouf Fever Hospital, Suez Fever Hospital, Suez Canal University Hospital, Suez Chest Hospital, and Kafr El-Dawar Central Hospital.

In order to keep medical staff and patients always in touch with their friends and families, Orange has provided high-speed internet to a 600-bed quarantine in cooperation with Ahl Masr.

Hala Abdel Wadood, head of Public Relations and CSR at Orange Egypt, said, “The medical sector in Egypt is bravely fighting a global pandemic that exhausted the healthcare systems around the world. The medical staffs in Egypt are doing a great job acknowledged by international medical entities. “We will work hard to support doctors and nurses by providing them with the necessary medical and preventive supplies.”

“We decided to contribute to this campaign by offering a range of preventive equipment to assist hospitals in providing distinguished medical care,” Abdel Wadood added.

Heba Al-Suwaidi, Chairperson of Ahl Masr Foundation’s Board of Trustees, expressed her pleasure for cooperating with Orange Egypt in this initiative. She stressed that the Foundation needs support from everyone in Egypt to defeat the coronavirus.

“Time is a very important factor of the Covid-19 fight. It is necessary that we immediately support all parties that fight against the virus spread, so that we can overcome this difficult stage as soon as possible and reduce the harms resulting from the pandemic,” Al-Suwaidi added.
