Attijariwafa Bank Egypt launches ’Maaki’ direct debit card for women

Attijariwafa Bank Egypt has announced the launch of the first direct debit card for women, “Maaki”, in line with the bank’s strategy for financial inclusion and economic support for women. The release of the card is to mark the occasion of Women’s Month, which takes place each March.

“Maaki” grants a distinguished experience to the bank’s female clients, providing a set of benefits that include all the special interests of its female clients. These range from shopping and beauty, to healthcare and sport activities, amongst other fields, and are renewed every month to ensure full satisfaction. The card also provides cashback offers and discounts.

In a new, first of its kind step, the bank has initially released two designs from which users can choose for their card, with the bank intending to add new designs to suit the character of each woman. As for male clients, they can have cards issued for their mothers, wives, or sisters, with the ability to control the card limit and its category (Gold – Prestige – Premier).

The bank has also cooperated for the third year with the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, by allocating the cash for female employee gifts for women in debt. Moreover, Attijariwafa Bank Egypt cooperated with the Egyptian Clothing Bank through a campaign “Rejoice A Mother You Do Not Know” in various governorates, which aimed to donate clothes before Mother’s Day.

Attijariwafa Bank Egypt has launched internal activities for bank employees, including the “Super Woman” competition, where four winners receive four awards at the end of March. The bank also organised sessions for bank employees on how to maintain healthy skin and use cosmetics in the daily body and skin care routine.
