Schneider Electric announced it received recognition from two global ranking entities for its commitment to sustainability.

The company ranked first in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations index issued by Corporate Knights. Moreover, Schneider Electric made it to the CDP’s Climate A List of companies leading the fight against carbon emissions, for the ninth year in a row. The list included 179 companies.

The two classifications were announced during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum on 21-24 January in Davos, Switzerland, which discussed environmental sustainability among other key topics.

More than 7,500 companies were evaluated in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 list based on 21 key performance indicators covering resource, employee, and financial management; clean revenue; and supplier performance.

The disclosure and registration process for the CDP is the gold standard for environmental transparency for companies, and is the preferred source of sustainability information for clients and investors, reducing carbon emissions and reducing climate risks, as well as contributing to the development of a low-carbon economy.

The index, which is published every three months, assesses a company’s progress in the field of ambitious sustainability commitments through 21 key performance indicators on climate, circular economy, health, justice, ethics, and development.
