The annual door knock mission organised by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) will head to the United Kingdom (UK) by end of November, focusing on boosting the joint cooperation in fields of education, health, and transportation, said BEBA’s Chairperson Khaled Nosseir.

“The mission will accompany Egyptian ministers, but names haven’t been defined yet. We always aim to boost British investments in Egypt and attract new companies,” Nosseir told Daily News Egypt.

The best way to promote the country’s investment climate is to help the already investing companies to solve issues that might face them, Nosseir asserted, reassuring British companies’ interest in the Egyptian market, as well as the British government following a strained period.

“Egypt frequently receives high-level British delegation over the year, accompanied by government officials which confirms the honest desire of the British side to promote the cooperation with Egypt,” Nosseir said.

BEBA is keen on staying in contact with the British companies in the UK, so it organises minor missions there throughout the year, Nosseir mentioned, pointing to BEBA’s mission that accompanied Sahar Nasr, minister of investment and international cooperation during her visit to London, last July.

Notably, Nasr met with British Investment Minister Graham Stuart as part of her promotional investment visit to the UK in July, where she asserted Egypt’s intention to attract more British investments in the country’s new cities.

Nosseir mentioned that UK’s position of the future Brexit suffers from uncertainty, yet the Egyptian government is in close discussions with its British counterpart to coordinate both countries’ trade relations when the UK left the European Union.

Additionally, Nossier revealed BEBA’s preparation for participating in the UK-Africa Investment summit that will be held by end of January 2020, noting that a business forum is expected to be held on the sidelines of the summit.
