Many might argue that summer is coming to an abrupt ending after a star-studded week on the north coast. Nonetheless, along with the still-trending pantsuits, pleats, and charming millennial pink—some summer trends are here to survive the changing weather and make it to the chilly November.

Seashells are a nostalgic piece of accessory that many of today’s fashion fanatics grew up collecting. As local as being sold on the beach out of wooden boxes, the marine tokens are back from the early 2000s as a strong trend for the current season.

The shells are a subtle reminder of the playful waves and pure sand from everyone’s most recent vacation—brought right into the heart of the city. The trendy piece is available for necklaces and anklets courtesy of a number of local accessory designers on social media. With that said, no one masters the art of carving, stacking, and flaunting seashells quite like AFH Designs. Designed by Farida Abushady, the brand depends on the gifts of nature as main materials.

Next on the list comes wooden bags. Much like the seashells, this trend refuses to leave the organic aesthetic of the warm season on the beach; instead, it borrows it for a night at the city. With international brands such as Cult Gaia preferring wood over regular leather, many local brands have already joined the cult!

Meanwhile, woven straw is also a winner that goes hand in hand with the current trend of smaller handbags. Dicha is locally-made haven for this particular trend. The contemporary brand provides few diverse interpretations of this popular accessory. On the other hand, HL Designs has also taken a bamboo detour with a “Nautical” collection.

Vintage eyewear has been on the rise for several seasons. With tiny sunglasses shooting to stardom them falling for social media criticism, a pair from the 1990s is certainly a much-welcomed fashion statement. Nonetheless, this season has brought even a more theatrical silhouette back to the forefront. Ignited by Yves Saint Laurent’s heart-shaped sunglasses, the memorable trend is currently taking over.

Finally comes one of the most popular classics; coin accessories. After taking full control of each and every beach, the retro trend is not planning to fade away anytime soon. Adorned with blue lapis, gold chains, or pearls, the variations are endless. Home-grown brand Lala is a skilled advocate of this particular brand. The authentic designs tackles coins from different angles—varying from vintage extravagance to modern layering.
