Vodafone added 500,000 new customers in October 2017

The number of mobile subscribers in the Egyptian market increased in October, as the sector added about 421,900 new subscribers.

According to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s indicators, the number of mobile service subscribers increased from 99.3 million in September to 99.8 million subscribers in October 2017.

Vodafone-Egypt was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the mobile services sector growth in October. The company was able to attract 529,500 new subscribers, increasing the number of its subscribers from 42.7 million in September, to 43.2 million in October 2017.

According to a report by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Orange Egypt was able to attract 199,000 customers in October, increasing the number of subscribers from 32.7 million in September, to 32.9 million in October.

Etisalat Misr lost about 306,600 customers in October, as the number of its subscribers declined from 23.8 million customers in September, to 23.5 million subscribers in October.
