Housing Ministry completes 3,668 social housing units in New Qena

The Ministry of Housing completed 3,668 social housing units in New Qena, according to Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Madbouly said that the ministry also completed 1,340 units for rent, and the ministry is carrying out 2,160 new units.

Head of the New Qena Development Authority Radwan Abdel Rashid said that in the sector of educational services, a primary school consisting of 33 classes was built in the centre of the first residential services center. Furthermore, the authority built another primary school consisting of 33 classes in the centre of services of the second residential neighbourhood and will be run at the beginning of the academic year 2017/2018. Moreover, the authority built another primary school with 42 classes in the area of ​​social housing services which contains 67 buildings.

A secondary school is being built at the Second District Service Centre, and a primary school with 42 classes in Area 2 in the northern extension of the first residential neighbourhood of 81 social housing buildings, according to Abdel Rashid .

He added that in the health services sector, three health units were built in the emergency services centre to serve the second residential neighbourhood, the national housing services area in the first residential area, and the social housing services area of ​​81 buildings.

Abdel Rashid noted that the authority is coordinating with the health directorate for operation. Furthermore, an ambulance service building was built to serve the national housing services area in the first residential area.
