Al-Sisi visits Police-Intel agency to review security conditions

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi paid a visit on Sunday evening to the National Security Apparatuses’ headquarter that is affiliated to the Ministry of Interior. The visit was held in the presence of interior minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar and head of the apparatus Mahmoud Sharaway, according to a statement issued by presidency.

The meeting reviewed the current internal security conditions and challenges that are faced by Egypt due to the ongoing regional problems that also reflect on the Egyptian national security, the statement added.

“Leading figures inside the National Security Apparatus showed the president their plans on how to face the current ongoing hazards and the strategy to curb terrorist and criminal activities through a security system that is being applied in full cooperation with the armed forces,” the statement read.

Moreover, Al-Sisi stressed during the meeting the necessity of the pursuit of hard work to protect Egypt from the terrorist and criminal attacks it faces now, in addition to continuing to target the terrorists’ stationing points, the statement noted.

Explaining his point of view, the Minister of Interior affirmed during the meeting that his ministry will do its best to effectively restrain any type of crimes and terrorism, noting that exchanging information with different state’s authorities will continue.
