Egypt ends fourth at 2017 Military Football World Cup

On Saturday, Egypt faced off with Syria in a match to determine the winner of the bronze medal of the 2017 Military Football World Cup. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, forcing the teams to settle the game in a penalty shootout. Syria snatched the bronze thanks to a difference of one goal. The match’s result after penalties was 8-7 in Syria’s favour, leaving Egypt in fourth place.

Oman matched up with Qatar in the tournament’s final. Both teams drew 0-0. After penalties, the match ended 4-1 to Oman, which became the 2017 Military Football World Cup champion, while Qatar became the runner-up.
