Squash champion Fares Mohamed Dessouki wins 2016 CCI International JSW ISC

Fares Mohamed Dessouki defeated his Egyptian compatriot Mohamed Abouelghar in the finals of the 2016 CCI International JSW Indian Squash Circuit in Mumbai, netting him his second PSA World Tour title.

Abouelghar had qualified to the semifinals after defeating another Egyptian player, Mohamed Reda, in the quarterfinals with a score of 3-1 (6-11/12-10/3-11/6-11).

Dessouki qualified to the semifinals after he defeated Scotland’s Alan Clyne, in the quarterfinals, with a score of 3-1 (11-1/11-8/4-11/11-5).

At the semifinals Dessouki beat England’s Chris Simpson by 3-0 (14-12/11-5/11-7), while Abouelghar won against Swiss Nicolas Mueller, also by 3-0 (11-7/11-6/11-9).

Dessuki snatched the championship title after he defeated Abouelghar by 3-2 (11-9/8-11/11-7/7-11/11-5).
