Prime Minister Sherif Ismail revealed on Thursday that two French companies have been contracted to help locate and extract the black box of the crashed EgyptAir flight MS804.

Following a cabinet meeting, Ismail told journalists that cooperation and coordination has continued between the authorities of the two countries in the case of the crashed aeroplane.

The two companies contracted by both the governments of Egypt and France are Deep Ocean Search and Alsemar, according to state media.

The EgyptAir aeroplane crashed into the Mediterranean Sea in the early hours of last Thursday morning, claiming the lives of all 66 people onboard.

The Egyptian investigation team said in a statement released Tuesday that the Egyptian Navy, along with the French navy, is still searching for more debris in the Mediterranean.
