Egypt, Bahrain sign 11 MOU in various fields

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen in Manama, Bahrain on Saturday.

Egypt and Bahrain signed 11 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) in the fields of medicine, energy, fertiliser, construction and entrepreneurship.

The first MOU was signed between the Bahrain Business Women Association and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was signed by Afnan Rashid Al-Zayani, and the Egyptian Business Women Association, which was signed by Reem Siam.

Another two MOUs were signed by Afnan Rashid Al–Zayani, a representative of Al-Zayani Commercial Services (AZCS), and head of Super Solar Solutions Company, Ayman Rasekh, and Wafik Shamma, a representative of Taya IT enterprise.

The fourth MOU was signed in the field of training and development of scientific research in fertilisers between Gulf Chemicals and Industrial Oils Company President Abdulrahman A. Hussain Jawahery and Abu Qir Fertilisers Company Chairperson and CEO Saad Abu El Maaty.

Another two MOUs were signed between the same companies in the fields of exchange of expertise, maintenance and safety, and preparation of feasibility studies for joint projects in the field of fertilisers.

The seventh MOU focuses on obtaining 10,000 metres in Egyptian transit areas.

An MOU was signed to build a factory for medicine and cosmetics in Egypt and another MOU was signed by Eva Beauty Salon. The MOU was signed by Khalid Rashid Al–Zayani, representing Barhain, and Eva Pharma CEO Riad Armanious, representing Egypt.

An MOU in real estate investment was signed between Al-Rehab for Projects and Trade, representing the Egyptian side, and Nissan Construction Managing Director Fatima Dilawer.

The eleventh MOU was signed between the Bahrain Business Women Association and Egyptian Business Women Association.

Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid said the Egyptian government seeks to attract Bahraini investment into the Egyptian market by presenting mega-development projects, such as 1.5m acres in New Cairo Capital.
