Imarrae has commenced construction of the first phase of KIN, its flagship residential development in New Cairo, following the completion of the project’s master plan and the receipt of all required permits and regulatory approvals.
The project is being developed with total investments exceeding EGP 22bn. The first phase is scheduled for delivery within three and a half years, by 2030, while the full development is expected to be completed in 2033.
Ahmed Khedr, CEO and Co-Founder of Imarrae, said the start of construction marks the company’s transition from the planning stage to on-site execution.
“Breaking ground at KIN is far more than the start of construction—it is tangible proof that Imarrae delivers on its commitments,” Khedr said, adding that the company remains committed to transparency and consistent execution throughout the project’s development.
Imarrae has appointed Rabat General Contracting as the project’s main contractor. The Qatar-based company has previously delivered projects including the Qatar Armed Forces Headquarters, Sheikh Hamad Al Thani Compound, and Tawar Mall in Qatar, in addition to Nile View Mall and BlueSide on Egypt’s North Coast.
Mohsen Abbas, Director of Rabat General Contracting, said the company is continuing to expand its operations in Egypt following the successful execution of several projects in the local market.
Imarrae has also appointed Al Asri Consultant, a UAE-based architectural consultancy, to lead the project’s architectural design, while Active Brain will provide geotechnical consultancy services. Active Brain has previously participated in projects including the Four Seasons Hotel Nile Plaza, Marsa Alam International Airport, and the Sahl Hasheesh development.
KIN is being developed on a 23-feddan site in New Cairo and will comprise 434 residential units. Townhouses will account for approximately 80% of the units, while apartments will represent the remaining 20%, according to the company.
The project’s master plan includes extensive landscaped areas, a central park, a social clubhouse, co-working spaces, a retail district, and a health and wellness centre. It will also feature pedestrian walkways, jogging and cycling tracks, and underground parking facilities.
Abbas noted that the development has been designed around open spaces and community amenities, with residential units positioned to maximise access to landscaped areas and shared public spaces.
Imarrae is a real estate developer operating across Egypt and the wider region, with a portfolio spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The company owns more than 100 feddans of land across East and West Cairo, with total planned investments exceeding EGP 100bn.
