Police forces arrested Friday the second and third suspects in the bombing that left three injured on Wednesday night in the Faisal district, Giza, according to state media.
The police said that the first suspect, who is now in custody, was interrogated and confessed his involvement in the attack. The police added that investigations found out that the attackers previously participated in anti-government protests.
The explosion, who took place in the area of Faisal, targeted a police Armed Personnel Carrier. It also destroyed a private car, as well as another police vehicle.
Security officials confirmed to state news agency MENA that the explosion was caused by an IED.
Those injured in the blast were taken to the nearby Haram hospital for medical treatment.
