While selling foreign currencies was relatively easy, purchasing was somewhat hard. Most of the contacted currency exchanges stated that they have currency shortages.

On the black market, the lowest selling price for the US dollar was EGP 7.15 while the highest prices ranged between EGP 7.57 to EGP 7.59. The buying prices for the dollar were either EGP 7.18 or jumped to EGP 7.60 or EGP 7.62.

As for the euro, the selling prices ranged between EGP 8.80 to EGP 9.48, while the buying price ranged between EGP 8.88 to EGP 9.581.

Buying prices for the Saudi riyal either remained stable at EGP 1.93 or jumped to EGP 2.

The lowest figure for buying the Kuwaiti dinar, a foreign currency that it rarely found in the black market, is EGP 24.25 while the highest reached EGP 25.50. Selling price for the Kuwaiti currency varies between EGP 24.16 to EGP 24.50.

A dozen currency exchange shops were contacted to collect the data for the selling or buying price for a single currency.
