The UAE-born Egyptian director Mohamed Magdy’s film Till When will be screened at the 6th Gulf Film Festival. This is his second cinematic endeavour and stars Iraqi actress Labiba Layth. His first film, Ask Your Soul, was screened at the 4th Gulf Film Festival.

Till When explores the struggle of women in a nine minute silent movie. It shows a woman torn between her own choices and what is chosen for her. The film shows the struggle between the need for freedom and the urge to conform, and how a fallen woman is often scorned by society.

The film is a joint production between Dubai and Sharjah and is competing in the short film category of the festival against 35 other films.
