Thousands of Ahly Ultras gathered Wednesday in front of the Giza security directorate, chanting against the Ministry of Interior, launching fireworks over the walls and eventually setting fire to an empty police truck.

The Ultras, who marched there from Cairo University, have been staging protests over the last few days in anticipation of the Port Said massacre trial verdict session scheduled for 9 March.

The court has already sentenced 21 people from Port Said to death but is yet to rule on the fate of the police officers involved in the massacre.
