CAIRO: The Egyptian FA and the National Sports Council (NSC) called on fans to send them any videos or photos showing the humiliation they were subjected to following Wednesday s World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

We are open to receiving any documents regarding that matter on Sunday and Monday, the EFA said in a statement on Saturday.

Algeria defeated Egypt 1-0 in Sudan on Wednesday to book a place at next year s World Cup finals in South Africa but their fans did not just celebrate such a precious win.

They attacked Egyptian supporters with knives and blades in the streets of Khartoum to spark angry responses from the Egyptian government and citizens alike.

World governing body FIFA said they had opened disciplinary proceedings against Egypt after Algeria s bus was attacked upon their arrival in Cairo to face the Pharaohs, who won 2-0 last Saturday to force Sudan s playoff.

The EFA responded by filing a complaint against Algeria and threatening to withdraw the national team from all football activities if FIFA did not take any action against the Desert Foxes.

We want to preserve the rights of our fans, an NSC official told FilGoal.com.

The EFA and the NSC are now seeking to support their complaint with video and photo evidence, they said.
