CAIRO: Nigerian striker Emeka Opara has backed down on his move to Ismaili as he refused to be subjected to a trial before signing with the coastal club, the player s agent said.

Ismaili boss Emad Soliman insisted to watch Opara in the Dervishes friendly with Arab Contractors on Tuesday, but the 24-year-old rejected the notion.

There was an agreement with Ismaili that Opara is coming to sign the contract, agent Mounir Hassan told FilGoal.com.

But then they wanted to watch him instead, and this won t happen. He will not be tested.

Opara was supposed to sign for Ismaili on a free-transfer as his contract with Tunisia s Etoile Sahel runs out in December.

The former Kaiserslautern forward will now return to Tunisia, according to his Egyptian agent.
