CAIRO: Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp reiterated that Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan wanted to stay at Signal Iduna Park.

Zidan put in an incredible performance in the Pharaohs FIFA Confederations Cup opening game against Brazil, having hit a memorable brace.

Afterwards, media reports suggested that several clubs made overtures to the 27-year-old, including Blackburn Rovers.

But Klopp stated during the first day of Dortmund s summer camp that Zidan would stay put at least for another season.

The football world is crazy; if someone scored two goals against Brazil, he would definitely make some headlines, The German tactician told Reviersport.

But I have talked to him on Monday, and he told me that he doesn’t think about leaving because he’s really comfortable with us.

Klopp, however, admitted that Dortmund would consider accepting an offer for Zidan should he receive a lucrative one.

He also played down recent reports claiming that several European outfits showed interest in the former Mainz ace.

His departure doesn’t appeal to us, but if a club make him a worthwhile bid we will think about it, Klopp added.

So far, no one has even inquired about the possibility of signing him.

Dortmund kicked off their pre-season preparatory camp on Monday, and more than 13,000 fans greeted The Borussians.
