CAIRO: Harras Hodoud right-back Islam Al-Shater signed a one-year contract extension with the Alexandria club.
The former Ahly man, whose contract with Hodoud was going to expire this summer, confirmed that he wants to stay and win another title with the club next season.
Al-Shater helped Tarek Al-Ashri s men win their first ever Egyptian Cup trophy last season.
In the meantime, Al-Ashri informed striker Abdel-Hamid Bassiouni and midfielder Amr Al-Dali that they are no longer needed at the club.
Al-Ashri offered the pair positions within the club s youth sector but the latter confirmed that he won t quit football even if he wasn’t wanted at Hodoud.
Hodoud started their pre-season training camp on Wednesday, where the club will play two friendly games in 10 days.
