CAIRO: Zamalek s handball team clinched the Super Cup title for the third successive season after beating arch-rivals Ahli 24-23.
The White Knights, who finished the season unbeaten, capped a perfect campaign by overcoming Ahli at Cairo stadium.
The fans support was pivotal in helping us to the Super Cup triumph, Zamalek coach Mohamed Safwat told the club s official website.
It is a perfect start to our season. We aim to win the Egyptian League as well as retaining our domestic cup crown.
The league campaign will kick off on Sept. 10.
