A “massive” fire broke out in an Alexandria Central Security Forces (CSF) camp early Sunday morning, Al-Ahram reported. The fire was allegedly caused by an electrical short and caused no injuries.

The fire was brought under control by firefighters at the camp, which is located on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road. Reportedly, the fire began in a car and spread to a nearby kitchen.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior refused to comment on the fire.

A similar fire broke out on 3 January at a General Intelligence building in Cairo. The blaze, also caused by an electrical short, destroyed one car before it could be extinguished. No injuries were reported.
