Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Hisham Talaat Moustafa announced an agreement with the Egyptian state to develop four major multi-use projects with a total targeted investment of approximately EGP 11trn.

Speaking during the second day of the “Egypt Forum 2026” in the New Administrative Capital, TMG CEO detailed that the projects will cover a total area exceeding 37 million square metres across strategic locations in East Cairo, Alexandria, and the North Coast. The developments are expected to generate approximately EGP 2.4trn in direct and indirect tax revenues and create around 6 million direct and indirect job opportunities. The activities within these projects will span urban, residential, commercial, administrative, industrial, logistical, and tourism development.

The first project involves the development of a strategic 5m square metre plot located on the strip connecting the Suez Road to the existing Madinaty project. It targets an investment of EGP 3.2trn and is expected to yield over EGP 700bn in direct and indirect taxes, aiming to establish an integrated destination comprising commercial, administrative, recreational, and residential activities.

The second agreement covers the development of an integrated urban project in the heart of Alexandria on an area of 11.3m square metres. With a targeted investment of EGP 1.7trn and expected tax revenues of EGP 375bn, the project aims to replicate the TMG’s models in Al Rehab, Madinaty, and Noor, providing a new destination for residence and investment in the governorate.

The third project is an industrial, logistical, real estate, and tourism development adjacent to the new Abu Qir port. Spanning 10m square metres, it carries a targeted investment of EGP 5trn and projected tax revenues of EGP 1.1trn. TMG CEO explained that the project aims to capitalise on global demand for multi-use economic zones in the Mediterranean, providing an attractive environment for foreign investments through free zones capable of supporting production and export activities. He noted that the planned industrial free zones are a crucial element in maximising export capabilities and leveraging Abu Qir’s strategic location.

The fourth project involves developing a 10.4m square metre strategic plot on the North Coast, extending from Kilo 147 to Kilo 151, modelled after the SouthMed development. This project targets an investment of EGP 970bn and EGP 215bn in direct and indirect tax revenues. Moustafa noted that the success of SouthMed since its launch in 2024 motivated the replication of the experience through a new project to add economic and urban value to the North Coast and enhance the area’s attractiveness for investment and tourism.

TMG CEO affirmed that the successful public-private partnership experiences between the state and the Talaat Moustafa Group demonstrate the importance of adopting developmental models based on integration. He stated that this approach contributes to maximising the economic value of assets and establishing integrated urban communities.

TMG CEO added that the new agreement represents an extension of this approach, targeting the attraction of investments, the enhancement of productive and export capacities, and the stimulation of tourism to open new horizons for economic growth in Egypt.
