Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMG) has ranked first on the list of Egypt’s 100 strongest companies at the Egypt’s Best Summit 2026, in recognition of its financial performance, market position, and portfolio of large-scale urban developments.
The summit was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Central Bank of Egypt. It aims to recognise companies and public figures that have had a notable impact on Egypt’s economy and public life, with the participation of ministers, senior officials, and business leaders.
TMG, led by CEO and Managing Director Hisham Talaat Moustafa, received the top award in the summit’s main ranking. The list is based on a specialised assessment of major companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange, using indicators such as revenues, net profits, market capitalisation, and asset size.
The group’s ranking was supported by its financial and operational results, as well as its land portfolio, which spans around 128 million square metres across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq.
In 2025, TMG reported a 42% increase in net profit to EGP 18.2bn, compared to EGP 12.8bn in 2024. Revenues rose 46% to EGP 62.49bn, compared to about EGP 42.6bn a year earlier. The group also recorded real estate sales of EGP 382bn during the year.
The company maintained growth in the first quarter of 2026, with net profit increasing 24% year-on-year to EGP 5.5bn. Revenues rose 39% to EGP 13.1bn during the same period.
During the summit, TMG also received the Best New Mega Development award for The Spine, a smart knowledge city planned in Madinaty, East Cairo. The project is being developed with investments of EGP 1.4trn, equivalent to around $27bn, over an area of 2.4 million square metres.
According to the summit’s assessment, The Spine was recognised based on five main criteria: sustainability, flexibility, technological integration, community impact, and its expected contribution to the competitiveness of Egypt’s real estate sector.
The project is designed as a zero-emission urban environment powered by clean energy. It also includes flexible spaces that can adapt to future urban needs, while its technology framework is based on artificial intelligence systems used to manage the city’s operations.
The judging committee also highlighted the project’s focus on quality of life, walkability, and public spaces, in addition to its potential to attract foreign investment and support Egypt’s position in the development of smart cities.
The event was attended by Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Local Development and Environment Manal Awad, Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad, Presidential Adviser for Economic Affairs Hala El-Said, and Financial Regulatory Authority Chairperson Islam Azzam, alongside senior officials and business representatives.
Ayman Zahran, Chief Marketing Officer of Talaat Moustafa Group, received the two awards on behalf of Hisham Talaat Moustafa from the Minister of Labour and the Secretary-General of the Egypt’s Best Summit.
TMG is one of the region’s largest real estate developers, with a portfolio that includes Al Rehab City, Madinaty, Celia in the New Administrative Capital, Noor City in Capital Gardens, SouthMED in Egypt, and Banan in Saudi Arabia.
The latest recognition comes as the group continues to expand its development portfolio in Egypt and regional markets, while focusing on integrated urban communities and smart city projects.
