HDB expands national footprint with ‘Acacia’ branch in New Cairo

The Housing and Development Bank (HDB) has inaugurated its latest branch, “Acacia,” in New Cairo, as part of its 2025–2030 strategy to strengthen its network of branches across Egypt.

The opening ceremony was attended by Hassan Ghanem, CEO and Managing Director; Walid Mattar, Deputy Managing Director for Retail Banking, Branches, and Mortgage Finance; Medhat Radwan, Head of Regions and Branches; along with several senior executives from the bank.

The launch of the Acacia branch underlines HDB’s commitment to maintaining a strong presence in strategic locations to better serve both existing and potential clients. The bank is actively implementing an expansion plan to grow its network—which now includes over 100 branches—and increase its network of ATMs, currently exceeding 458 machines. These efforts are part of HDB’s strategy to meet evolving customer needs, deliver high-quality banking services, and enhance the overall customer experience. All new branches are built to the highest construction standards and equipped with state-of-the-art banking technology to ensure efficiency and service excellence.

The new branch also features an HDB Royal centre dedicated to premium clients, offering specialised financial and non-financial services designed to help them manage and grow their wealth with precision and convenience.

Hassan Ghanem expressed pride in HDB’s steady journey of sustainable growth and its strategic expansion in alignment with the Central Bank of Egypt’s drive for greater financial inclusion. He affirmed that the bank is moving forward with its plans to grow geographically and advance business development, with the ambition of becoming one of the top banking choices within Egypt’s financial sector. Ghanem also highlighted HDB’s ongoing commitment to boosting operational efficiency and institutional agility to foster innovation and support long-term growth.

He further stressed the bank’s dedication to adopting best practices to elevate the customer experience and reinforce the trust built over more than 45 years. By seizing market opportunities and staying abreast of local and global banking trends, Ghanem said, HDB aims to strengthen its position as a leading full-service commercial bank, offering a wide range of professional, flexible, and customer-focused banking solutions.
