Foreign units march as Moscow marks 80th Victory Day anniversary

Russia’s capital, Moscow, marked the 80th anniversary of Victory Day with celebrations including the traditional military parade on Red Square, which featured participation from foreign parade units.

The events commemorating the anniversary of the victory in World War Two included foreign military contingents marching, the congratulating of veterans, and the laying of flowers.

The Victory Day anniversary is widely celebrated across Russia. The occasion is described in the country as a symbol of national unity and historical continuity.

During the parade and associated events in Moscow, the Russian national flag was displayed.
