Robbie Fowler, former Liverpool star, expressed his great pleasure for visiting Egypt, saying it is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, during the signing ceremony of a partnership between Liverpool FC and Tatweer Misr Company for real estate marketing.

Fowler praised the Egyptian team’s potential, great development in recent years, and their success to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He added that the “Pharaohs” have made big achievements that prompted many English clubs to contract a number of Egyptian players recently. He noted that Egyptian players are characterised by talent, speed, and strength, which are essential elements for the success of any player.

Fowler predicted that the Egyptian national team will “shine” in the 2018 World Cup thanks to its talented players, led by Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

He said that Salah reminds him of himself, especially his speed, skills, and high goal-scoring rate. The former English striker expressed his satisfaction with the performance presented by Salah, stressing that he belongs to Liverpool, not just a player.

Salah wrote himself into Liverpool’s record as he became the first player to score nine goals in his opening 12 league games, eclipsing Fowler’s tally of eight.

“Salah is the player we needed,” Fowler continued, “He has the ability to create more and score more goals, upsetting other teams’ defences.”
“I want Salah to score whenever he can, and I hope the rest of the players do so,” said the former Liverpool striker.a

“I cannot say that Salah failed with Chelsea because he did not have a chance there,” but “when he went to Italy, he was wonderful, and then he came here [Liverpool] and his talent shined.”

On the other hand, Fowler praised the English national team, saying it currently has good players, expressing his wish for the team to win the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“The English team will be strong in the future. There are a number of young players in the team, but they just need patience to achieve good results that will please the English people,” Fowler concluded.
