The Business Development Services (BDS) Hubs, operating under the Central Bank of Egypt’s NilePreneurs initiative, have delivered more than 1.16 million non-financial and advisory services to date.

These services have supported approximately 502,000 young people, entrepreneurs, start-ups and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including 210,000 women. In addition, the hubs have facilitated access to EGP 19bn in financing for more than 14,000 projects, in cooperation with 18 banks. The support is provided through integrated advisory packages designed to help entrepreneurs secure appropriate funding and strengthen their businesses’ growth and competitiveness.

Between 2020 and 2025, the BDS Hubs recorded significant expansion in both services delivered and beneficiaries reached, achieving an average annual growth rate of 135% in services provided and 125% in clients served. This progress has been driven by an extensive geographic footprint comprising 132 hubs across 25 governorates.

The milestone underscores the CBE’s continued commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and MSMEs. The initiative encourages banks to broaden the provision of non-financial and advisory services, while also promoting the integration of informal businesses into the formal economy. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030, with a focus on inclusive economic empowerment.

The BDS Hubs offer a comprehensive range of free non-financial and advisory services. These include support in selecting viable project ideas, company establishment procedures, facilitating registration and licensing, conducting feasibility studies and financial evaluations, and preparing credit files. The hubs also provide information on financing options, connect entrepreneurs with suppliers, open new market opportunities and deliver capacity-building training programmes to enhance operational efficiency.

Entrepreneurs, youth and MSMEs can access these services free of charge by visiting BDS Hubs located in bank branches, youth centres and universities across most governorates. Locations are available on the official NilePreneurs website.
