Enwan Developments has signed a cooperation agreement with Canadian healthcare operator Blue Ridge, a global specialist in managing and operating hospitals and medical centers, to oversee the management and operation of Horizon Hospital located within the Medical City at Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
Mohamed Salem, CEO of Enwan Developments, stated that the partnership marks a significant milestone in the Medical City project, which aims to deliver world-class, integrated healthcare services and position the New Capital as a regional hub for healthcare and medical tourism. He emphasized that Enwan prioritizes investment in the healthcare sector, and the agreement with Blue Ridge aligns with the company’s strategy to attract international expertise and elevate the standards of care within the project.
Salem explained that the Horizon Canadian Hospital is located in the heart of the New Capital’s Medical City and comprises two basements and two main buildings with a total built-up area of 20,000 square meters. The first building, spanning 5,500 square meters, is a fully equipped hospital constructed to meet global medical standards, featuring specialized departments such as emergency care, surgery, and inpatient rooms. The second building covers 9,500 square meters and includes approximately 150 flexible outpatient clinics, medical centers, and supporting commercial services, all designed to ensure comprehensive and accessible care.
He noted that Enwan Developments is currently working on a diverse portfolio of residential, administrative, and commercial projects in New Cairo and the New Administrative Capital. The Medical City, he added, stands out as one of the company’s most substantial healthcare investments to date, reflecting its long-term commitment to the sector.
Sam Samir, Chairperson of Blue Ridge, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, describing the New Administrative Capital as Egypt’s future and a promising landscape for medical investment. He noted that Blue Ridge brings extensive experience from managing hospitals and medical centers across Canada and is actively pursuing global expansion. The partnership with Enwan Developments, he said, reflects the company’s confidence in Egypt’s dynamic and growing healthcare market.
Samir highlighted that the New Administrative Capital is experiencing a significant urban and investment boom, creating an ideal environment for delivering advanced healthcare services. He affirmed that Horizon Hospital represents a strategic step in bringing global standards of medical care to Egypt and supports the vision of transforming the New Capital into a leading destination for healthcare and medical tourism in the region.
