IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Jadeer Group to open a new Hotel Indigo in New Cairo. Scheduled to open in 2031, the 120-room Hotel Indigo New Cairo will be part of Red (G)—a dynamic mixed-use development featuring residential, retail, and hospitality components.
Hotel Indigo, a brand under the IHG portfolio, is known for creating immersive experiences that reflect the character and charm of each hotel’s local neighborhood. No two properties are alike, with each location drawing inspiration from its surroundings—from boutique design elements to locally influenced dining.
True to this ethos, Hotel Indigo New Cairo will be designed to capture the spirit of its vibrant setting, blending the city’s deep cultural heritage with a modern lifestyle perspective.
“Operating through three specialized subsidiaries—Grow Contracting Company, Pantera Finishing and Interior Design Company, and Jadeer Development Company—Jadeer Group continues to expand its impact,” said Mahmoud Abo ElKheir, CEO of Jadeer Group.
With a track record of over 75 completed residential and commercial projects valued at more than EGP 8bn, Jadeer Group is actively expanding its footprint. Its current pipeline includes five new developments across mixed-use, residential, and hospitality sectors, representing a total value of approximately EGP 20bn.
“Egypt is a priority market for IHG, and we are excited to partner with Jadeer Group to bring Hotel Indigo to New Cairo,” said Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts. “New Cairo is rapidly establishing itself as a center for business, education, and lifestyle, making it a natural fit for a brand that celebrates culture and design.”
IHG currently operates eight hotels in Egypt under the InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites brands, with a robust pipeline of 22 additional hotels set to open in the coming years—underscoring its long-term commitment to Egypt’s growing hospitality sector..
