The official spokesperson for the Palestinian President, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stated on Monday that all Israeli settlements established on the land of the State of Palestine, including Homesh in the north of the West Bank, which was evacuated in 2005, are illegal.

He emphasized that continuing the aggression will not bring security or peace to anyone.

In a statement, Abu Rudeineh condemned and rejected the decision to allow the settlers to return to the Homesh settlement outpost. He stressed that all UN resolutions, especially resolution 2334, clearly state that all settlements in the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, violate international law and must be removed.

He also stressed that Israel’s actions defy the will of the international community, particularly the recent statements by the US administration regarding the unacceptable return of settlers to Homesh.

Abu Rudeineh stated that condemning and denouncing the actions of the extremist right-wing Israeli government is no longer enough.
