Tourism Minister, European tour operators discuss ways to push more tourism to Egypt

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa met with a group of senior tour operators in the European market on Saturday to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and push more tourist traffic to Egypt from the targeted tourist markets.

The meeting also tackled establishing various partnerships to promote the Egyptian tourist destination and its distinguished components, patterns, and products, which contributes to enriching and improving tourists’ experiences in Egypt.

The meeting was attended by Amr Al-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB); Yomna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Technical Affairs; and a number of tourist investors in Egypt.

Issa noted that the ministry will study all proposals that would contribute to strengthening Egypt’s position in the ranks of major tourist countries.

He also talked about the promotional efforts undertaken by the ministry to promote Egypt and its keenness to cooperate with professional partners and the private tourism sector through joint promotional campaigns between the two sides.

For their part, the tour operators stressed that Egypt is one of the most important and preferred tourist destinations for tourists from many countries of the world due to its diverse and unique tourist components and products that attract and meet the desires and needs of different segments of tourists, noting that there is a desire and increasing demand to visit the country and its attractions.
