Al-Sisi allocates additional financial support to National Alliance for Civil Development Work

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met on Wednesday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Chief of the General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel, and members of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work.

Ambassador Bassam Rady, the presidential spokesperson, stated that the president directed to increase the financial support to the Alliance to support its community activity.

The meeting reviewed the activities of the National Alliance since its launch earlier this year. The Alliance consists of 24 associations and civil institutions, in addition to the Decent Life initiative and the General Federation of NGOs and Foundations.

Al-Sisi noted that the Alliance is an important pillar in the system of social protection networks, especially in light of the current global economic conditions, which have affected many sectors, especially food, in order to support the continuous development efforts of the state, the latest of which was the social support package recently directed by the president.

The year 2022 was named the year of civil society, in an effort to continue social protection efforts for the neediest citizens by providing all possible various social assistance.

Th president also directed the development of the work of the charitable and development efforts of the National Alliance to go beyond the scope of direct in-kind assistance to the operational activity and to be an essential part of the Alliance’s efforts in order to provide job opportunities, increase production and achieve a tangible economic return for citizens within the scope of the work of charitable institutions.
