President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi inspected on Tuesday the Control and Follow-Up Operations Centre of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network.

Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady stated that the President heard a detailed explanation of the centre, which applies the most up-to-date technological specifications and is an important component for strengthening the emergency and public safety system.

This is done through rapid communication with different governorates, linking all emergency elements and vital facilities, and receiving reports of different types of citizens according to the latest systems adopted worldwide.

The president also conducted a practical experiment through the operations centre by effectively contacting specialised operations rooms in Suez, Ismailia, Port Said, South Sinai, and Luxor.

Furthermore, he was briefed by governors on the procedures for activating the system in each governorate, directing full coordination between all concerned parties to achieve the objectives of the system, especially in terms of the speed of dealing with and responding to all types of emergencies and crises.

Al-Sisi also directed governors to continuously monitor markets during the holy month of Ramadan to ensure price controls and the provision of goods to citizens.
