Misr Italia, Honeywell sign MoU to support digital transformation

Misr Italia Properties has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Honeywell, leveraging the company’s experience in smart solutions for established and under construction projects. The collaboration came in light of Misr Italia Properties’ strategy towards digital transformation through developing a smart and sustainable lifestyle to serve its clients.

The MOU between Misr Italia and Honeywell states the establishment of various projects that provide a smart lifestyle through the latest digital solutions, including Honeywell’s package for city solutions, and Honeywell forge program, which is an enterprise performance management solution. The MoU focuses on merging these solutions in the projects implemented by the company through a unified platform, which guarantees transparency and control. Moreover, Honeywell will deploy advanced city surveillance systems (CCTV) for improved emergency response and access control; sustainable and energy-efficient technologies for energy optimization as well as smart irrigation, smart street lighting, water management and smart parking.

Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development, said, “The Digital Egypt strategy is built on three main planks, including Digital Transformation, Digital Skills and Jobs and Digital Innovation based on an efficient information infrastructure and a strengthened legislative framework.”

Mohamed Hany El-Assal, CEO and Managing Director of MIP, stated that the partnership will maintain the current and future client’s trust in the company through proactively responding to their needs aiming to provide an integrated advanced system across all MIP projects located in the New Administrative Capital and New Cairo, particularly Cairo Business Park and IL BOSCO City.

He further added, “We aspire to contribute to the actualization of Egypt 2030 vision and the UNSDGs through implementing smart city solutions; advanced security technologies and optimal energy efficiency techniques.”
