Egypt forms Prime Minister-chaired high committee to organise COP27

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli met on Tuesday with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to discuss preparations for Egypt’s hosting of the 27th edition of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in November 2022,

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi ordered forming a high committee under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, with the membership of concerned ministers and heads of state bodies.

Egypt was officially selected last week to host the global events. COP27 is set to take place in the remote coastal town of Sharm El-Sheikh, situated on the Sinai Peninsula.
