Misr Fertilizer Production reports 42% profit growth in 9M 2021

The profits of the Misr Fertilizer Production Company (MOPCO) increased by 42% during the first nine months (9M) of this year, according to a statement by the company sent to EGX.

The company stated that it recorded a net profit of EGP 1.03bn during the period extending from January to September 2021, compared to EGP 725.14m during the same period of 2020.

The company’s sales increased to EGP 2.29bn in 9M 2021, compared to EGP 1.67bn sales during the same period last year. The company attributed the increase in profits during the mentioned period to the rise in the price of urea.

MOPCO recorded a net profit of EGP 2.17bn in June, compared to EGP 1.18bn during the same period last year.

The company’s consolidated sales increased to EGP 4.18bn during 6M 2021, compared to EGP 3.76bn during the same period in 2020.

MOPCO, independently from the first half of this year, achieved a net profit of EGP 655.49m from the beginning of January until the end of last June, compared to EGP 565.38m in profits during the same period last year.

The company’s independent sales increased to EGP 1.46bn in 6M 2021, compared to EGP 1.17bn during the same period in 2020.
