Cairo launches health passport application on phones

The Ministry of Health launched the “Egypt Health Passport” application on phones starting Wednesday to issue COVID-19 vaccination certificates electronically.

Citizens can use the electronic health passport at airports outside Egypt, where the traveler enters his data on the application that identifies the certificate of vaccination with the approved vaccine for the traveler.

The application includes the feature of showing the position of the vaccination through three colours (red if the person did not have the coronavirus vaccine, yellow if the person received one dose, and green if the person received two doses).

The application will be downloaded via phones, and the fees prescribed for obtaining the certificate will be paid through electronic collection outlets, visa, or phone wallets.

The source revealed the addition of a feature to this application, which is the availability of the “promote mode” feature, which allows knowing the vaccinators in any gathering, or within any facility, and showing one of the aforementioned colors, and this feature can be used in the different places that Requires knowledge of people’s attitude toward receiving the vaccine.

With the beginning of downloading the application, it received a rating of 2.1 out of 5 on the “Google Play” store, as a number of users complained of difficulties in dealing with it, especially since it requires EGP 100 fees to complete the registration, while some citizens have paid In earlier times for the extraction of notarized certificates.

Also, one of the users complained that his data registration had not been completed, while he entered his credit card data and EGP 100 was withdrawn, but he was surprised that his registration was rejected and he needed to repeat the procedures.
