El-Sayed Atta, head of the Education Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced, on Sunday, that about 60,000 students registered for university admission tests nationwide.
He added that the electronic admission website will continue to receive students’ applications until 19 August.
Adel Abdel Ghaffar, the Higher Education Ministry spokesperson, said that admission tests in all universities are carried out regularly, amid strict precautionary measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
He added that admission tests in academic year 2021-2022 include colleges of media, applied arts, fine arts, and new faculties of technology, nursing, and tourism.
About 649,000 students completed on 2 August this year’s Thanaweyya Amma (leaving school) exams. The results are expected to be announced 10 days after the end of exams.
