As part of this, the company has entered into a partnership agreement with the Egyptian Medical Professions Syndicates Union. The agreement aims to support and alleviate the suffering of medical staff and their families in the current harsh conditions, and who are exposed to the risks of infection.

Under the agreement, all subscribers will receive a large and distinctive discount on the analysis services for COVID-19 at Al-Borg laboratories. Half of this discount will be borne by the Medical Professions Syndicates Union, and will be applicable for all medical union members in Egypt.

The discount will give healthcare workers and their families the advantage of benefiting from the vast network of Al-Borg and AlMokhtabar laboratories all over Egypt, with the highest quality standards and the most accurate results.

CEO of Al-Borg Laboratories, Dr Hend El-Sherbiny, said that this partnership comes as part of the efforts to highlight the laboratories’ role in supporting medical care and social responsibility towards the country and its healthcare workers.

The medical staff and their families were registered in the Syndicate’s health programme, which also included pharmacists and their families, in a way that shows the great care that the partnership gives to the beneficiaries and in line with the objectives of the Egyptian state.

El-Sherbiny said that the company intends to add 25 new branches across Egypt to the Al-Borg Laboratories chain, at an investment cost of EGP 15m. This will see the number of the laboratory branches rise to more than 200, and will include an analysis laboratory, and a radiology centre.
