Orange Egypt, the leading provider of integrated telecommunications services, announced its participation in the 24th Cairo ICT which is held from November 22-25 under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Orange Egypt has showcased a wide range of its latest solutions and technologies in its booth to support the digital transformation of major projects in addition to its digital services for small and medium-sized enterprises and services for individuals in several leading sectors.

During Cairo ICT 2020, Orange launched innovations and smart solutions that will enhance Egypt’s digital transformation in the fields of Distance Learning, Smart Transportation, and E-commerce.

In the Smart Cities section, Orange Egypt presented the latest Intelligent Transportation System solutions (ITS) that support the automation and control of all road services, smart lighting, and surveillance cameras equipped with face recognition option which is one of the main pillars that help to raise the security efficiency of cities. “A Smart City is A Safe City”

Orange also demonstrated the New Administrative City Data Center (CDC), whereby Orange was awarded to design, build and operate the new data center with a total investment reaching USD 135 million. The new data center shall be considered as a state of the art & one of the key technological hubs in Egypt and the African continent. The CDC will serve simultaneously residents, governmental departments, public entities and the private sector, while enabling the Smart City services as well to be provided in the new district by hosting the “City Operations Center”. Moreover the data center will assist ACUD to become a Cloud Service provider to the various ministries as well as the private sector.

Focusing on education, which is a key pillar of Egypt’s strategy and vision for 2030, Orange showcased the Learning Management System (LMS) which is a platform for digital distance learning where schools and universities can easily manage their educational resources through a dedicated platform.

The new system allows students to study online, communicate with their teachers, download all study materials and educational content, and allow parents to track students’ progress, and for teachers to evaluate,  send exams, study materials and training courses. In addition, the system can manage the school and university bus fleet systems.

Nevertheless, Orange provides special technologies to enable connections between students, teachers, educational institutes, parents & those platforms remotely in a fast, reliable and secured way, especially in remote locations that are inaccessible with standard terrestrial networks. Orange also provides a number of packages and subscriptions that have been specially developed to serve the educational system.
