Egyptian startup Visit Ventures participated in the Techne summit held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina from 7 to 9 November, under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Founder and CEO of Visit Ventures, Shehab Ahmed, said the platform provides information on attractions and online reservation service, and gives users the opportunity to share their experiences and upcoming trips.

He added that Visit Ventures is a complete travel network for reading and publishing travel stories and booking tours directly from local tour guides or hotels and service providers, with the ability to write a real and influential review through the Visit Guide portal, which accounts for about 15% of searches in tourism fields in Arabic on global search engines.

Visit Ventures is preparing to launch a new social marketplace, called The Visit App, which enables travelers to book trips, activities, airline tickets, and hotels, and pay online without any additional fees.

The Visit App is designed for travelers, travel agencies, and tour guides who want to connect to the social tourism market. The app is expected to be launched early next year.

Noteworthy, some booking and travel sites charge fees of up to 25% on a single reservation.

During Techne summit, Visit Ventures reviewed its expansion plans, as the company officially started its operations in the Russian market to attract tourism to Egypt.

During the summit, the company held sessions with several investors to discuss investment opportunities in the company to cover its future expansions and develop a data analysis system.

The entire platform has been designed to become the first social tourism content network, where you can search, compare, book and review tours, excursions, and activities, as well as find new friends, communicate and chat with tourism service providers.

Visit Ventures is one of the companies incubated by Cultiv, which specialises in investing in startups and supporting entrepreneurs.
