In a positive atmosphere full of optimism, Orange Egypt held today a small  honoring ceremony at the company’s premises in the Smart Village to honor the Egyptian outstanding student Ibrahim Abdel Nasser, known as “The Fresca Seller”. This came after a video went viral on social media of Ibrahim telling his success story of achieving a high score of 99.6% in high school and his dreams of going to medical school.

During this ceremony, Orange Egypt awarded the student Ibrahim Abdel Nasser a scholarship worth EGP 100,000 to support his educational career, in cooperation with Terous Misr Foundation, which will handle the grant disbursement. The grant will include educational supplies and educational courses in addition to a financial amount to facilitate the young man’s living conditions.

The ceremony was attended by Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, Mr. Hany Younes, Media Advisor to the Prime Minister, Dr. Hatem Khater, Founder and Vice President of Terous Misr Foundation (also the photographer and video publisher of Ibrahim’s story), and the TV presenter Ossama Kamal in addition to a group of Orange Egypt officials.

Furthermore, this financial aid is part of Orange Egypt’s ceaseless efforts to support the inspiring models in the Egyptian society to help them achieve their goals through highlighting their success stories that proved that determination and persistence are the key to success and that their dreams come true.

Orange Egypt has always supported youth and entrepreneurs in the light of its social responsibility where it provides them with integrated solutions, voice and data services and different technologies related to the same sector. Additionally, Orange has launched several initiatives and campaigns to provide technical and financial support to talented students as well sponsoring youth competitions such as Enactus and others. It should be noted that Ibrahim Abdel Nasser was not the first to receive the company’s support, as the company has a long history in supporting education and youth over more than 16 years.
